Location: 150 A Cumberland Road Pascoe Vale
The Parish Opportunity Shop is just a few doors down from the
Post Office in
Cumberland Road and is affectionately
known to the staff as the 'Cumberland
Road Boutique'.
Normal Hours of Operation: Mon - Fri 10AM to 4PM, Sat - 9:30 AM to 12
noon. *
** Exceptions to the trading hours**
- closed for public holidays and the
1st Saturday in October for the Church Fete.
- closed for five weeks
from the middle of December each year
(so we can get a break).
The Op Shop sells good quality used clothing, household items, books,
magazines, knitting/sewing patterns & accessories - all at very
reasonable prices.
By law we are not allowed to sell certain items eg. foodstuffs, electrical
goods, mattresses etc. but we can direct you to other outlets in the area to
assist you. Donations will be accepted at the Op Shop during trading hours or
after hours at 20 Prospect Street Pascoe Vale.
The shop is run for the Parish by a management committee. All staff are
volunteers and many are from other Churches.
All money raised at the Op Shop is distributed
between our Parish and various charities - a list is on display in our front
window.
There is a prayer request book at the front counter
where customers may ask for prayers to be said for anyone in need.
Customers can be assured of a warm
welcome, a sympathetic ear or a shoulder to cry on . You may also pick up a new
recipe idea, craft hint or a knitting lesson! The staff share the highs and lows
of many friends we have made through the years.
